David Livingstone Art Competition

Back on the 4th of February I told you about 3 of my pupils at work who had entered this art competition…well…they won. They won for the Secondary School category and on Friday we headed over to the Edinburgh City Chambers for the prize-giving ceremony. My 3 pupils were awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd and enjoyed a buffet, meeting an MSP and laughing at me and a colleague as we tried to climb the mountainous stairs just to get to the Chambers.

I am so incredibly proud of each of them, they all did exceptionally well. Tears and smiles a-plenty.

I also wrote to Derwent to tell them about the pupils’ achievement and how they had used Inktense to do their pieces. And those lovely folk sent my pupils their own pencil sets to encourage and inspire them to continue with their artistic endeavours. Just lovely of them. Those pencil sets raised more smiles than the glorious rosettes they received in Edinburgh.

Well done J, K and B! Thank you Derwent! And thank you to all involved in this competition!
